Overview. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Vice President will play a critical/lead role in evaluating and executing M&A transactions and investments. This person will be expected to be able to facilitate/lead all phases of an acquisition process and be responsible for managing M&A, equity investment and joint ventures. Key functions will include screening, evaluation, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence, closing and integration of transactions at the business unit and corporate level. In this role, the VP will work closely with the private equity sponsor, external advisors, as well as senior management.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Leading Financial and strategic analysis, valuation and due diligence of potential opportunities.
  • Structuring acquisitions, including working through transaction contracts and creating solutions to issues identified in due diligence.
  • Leading negotiations on key transactions.
  • Deal execution including integration
  • Daily interactions with senior executive team, including CEO and CFO.
  • Providing advice and recommendations to senior management on M&A and Business Development activities.


Required Qualifications:


  • 8 to 12 years of direct M&A transaction experience, including pipeline analysis and leading transaction teams to negotiate and close deals. Candidates must be adept at due diligence, financial modeling, transaction structuring, contract negotiation and integration.
  • Experience in Investment Banking/ Transaction Services /Private Equity coupled with corporate experience leading M&A transactions and execution.
  • High-energy individual comfortable working in a complex and fast-moving business environment. S/he must have the interpersonal skills and business maturity necessary to work effectively with key internal and external stakeholders. This will include regular interactions with the senior executive team, including the CEO, CFO and divisional presidents, corporate functions such as finance, legal, IT, and HR teams, and outside advisors such as investment bankers and lawyers. S/he will have the strategic, analytical and communication skills necessary to effectively challenge conventional thinking and stimulate an energetic approach to strategy and transaction development.
  • Experience leading all phases of an acquisition process
  • Strong leadership skills, passion, and drive who can lead acquisition growth in support of the company’s corporate objectives. This individual must also have the capability to grow within the organization. BS in finance/accounting. MBA preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex and competing priorities and projects
