Our client, a French multinational company that specializes in digital automation and energy management, is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team ONSITE in Madison, Illinois


*** 1 week training in Columbia, MO


*** This begins as a 12-month contract with any opportunity to extend/convert


*** Hours: M-F 7:00 am-3:30 pm


Responsibilities

  • Inspects materials, parts, and complete circuit breakers for conformance with Underwriters Laboratory and industry procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications for measurement feasibility.
  • Performs incoming and in process inspection measurements using both complex equipment such as CMM KEYENCE, Vision system KEYENCE, Instron Machine, Optical comparator, and basic hand tools such as calipers, pin gauges, height indicators.
  • Prepares, records, and reports data to Supervisor and/or Engineers.
  • May investigate and determine cause of defective parts, units, or processes.
  • Adjusts and calibrates test and production equipment.
  • Responds to requests for assistance with quality issues and problems.
  • Initiates disposition of rejected materials, parts, or devices.
  • Effectively use computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties.

  • Undergraduate degree/Higher education.
  • Experience within manufacturing Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with data, problem resolution.
  • Excellent skills in leadership, communication both verbal and written, and attention to detail.
  • Strong desire to work with people, on the manufacturing floor and with customer interface, excellent follow-up, and execution skills.
  • Candidate should have good dexterity in both hands, excellent attention to detail and focus on ensuring quality.
  • Candidate should be able to stand regularly for an 8(+)hour shift.
  • Candidate should be a quick learner able to apply themselves across multiple roles both internal to Missouri and supporting corporate initiatives related to customer satisfaction and quality.
