This temporary assignment offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical writing expertise within a dynamic and innovative environment. This role supports a large company known for its commitment to excellence and industry leadership. The position is a hybrid role, offering flexibility and the chance to work both remotely and on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Research technical data and develop procedures through interviews, on-site visits, and production observations
- Organize and research available data, writing technical manuscripts including procedures and parts lists
- Determine illustration needs and recommend content to illustrators
- Assist in proofing and editing technical publications for conformance to style and format
- Meet with other writers to determine project assignments and report project status
- Schedule and conduct review meetings for approval of new or revised publications before final version is released
- Assist in the development and revision of style guides that meet the specific needs of products
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
- Comply with all company and HSE policies and procedures
- Standardize aftermarket service documentation to promote uniform service globally
- Communicate with repair centers, service groups, and engineering to standardize documentation for equipment assessment, inspection, commissioning, and testing
- Ensure all documentation follows industry standards/compliance as well as design/wear criteria
- Inform all users about the location and best methods of using the documentation system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English or related field
- Previous oil and gas industry experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in writing technical documents, manuals, and procedures
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience in quality management systems and document control
- Ability to read engineering drawings
