As the Senior Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a vital role in building a strong culture of safety. You will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive safety measures to prevent incidents and ensure employee well-being.


Responsibilities:

  • You will spearhead the development and implementation of safety programs, designed to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety awareness
  • Evaluate existing safety procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure they align with industry best practices
  • Regularly conduct thorough safety assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
  • Based on your assessments, you will provide recommendations for mitigation procedures to address identified risks
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs that empower employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their tasks safely
  • Stay up-to-date with all company, state, and federal safety regulations and guarantee that plant operations consistently comply with these standards


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (industrial safety, safety management, safety training, safety auditing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with California OSHA regulations and practices
  • Safety certifications are a PLUS
