Position Overview: 


We are seeking an industry professional with a proven track record in business development and a history of creating long-term value for organizations. The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to identify and cultivate new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients, focusing on home builders, kitchen and interior designers, and home remodelers. The ideal candidate will excel in proactive prospecting, strategic communication, and collaboration with internal teams to drive business growth and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Prospecting: 

·        Identify prospects, set appointments, and make effective qualifying sales calls to close new business in all service categories. 

·        Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and conduct product demos to potential clients. 

·        Coordinate with other sales representatives to ensure sales quotas are met and company standards are upheld. 

·        Leverage and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identify new sales opportunities. 

·        Seek new sources of prospective customer data and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership. 

·        Create and complete status/progress reports including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals. 

Account Management: 

·        Collaborate with the Customer Engagement Leader and Sales Manager to resolve customer issues efficiently. 

·        Engage clients proactively for feedback and opportunities for improvement.

·        Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships. 

·        Establish a cadence for regular communication with clients and internal teams to discuss progress and identify areas for improvement. 

·        Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and communicate regularly with the sales team. 


Networking: 

·        Attending networking events to support business development initiatives. 

·        Build a network of contacts within the industry or community by initiating contact with potential clients and establishing personal relationships over time. 

·        Create a plan for generating leads and revenue pipelines, including attending industry events, and proactively reaching out to potential clients via email or phone calls. 

·        Collaborate with Marketing/Sales to ensure clients' needs are met and presentation materials are current and relevant. 

·        Create or complete status/progress reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals. 


Qualifications


·        Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred, or at least 5 years of relevant experience. 

·        Proven track record in outside sales and account management. 

·        Ability to forecast, formulate and implement strategic business plans

·        Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 

·        Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of individuals including business owners and senior management.

·        Understanding of the residential construction industry is preferred

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

·        Ability to attend meetings and functions outside of normal work hours. 

·        Proficiency in Word, Excel and Teams.
