THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE RUNNING UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF SPRING (MARCH/APRIL) with a start date of November 11th OR 18th, 2024


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization for all compliance requests from authorizers and other government agencies (e.g., local education authorities, state education commissions, federal education departments).
  • Work across the organization to support the submission of all required information to all school authorizers and government agencies by the specified deadline. This will require closely monitoring all information and action requests, delegating and supporting network and school teams in the collection or completion of those requests and owning the response back to authorizers.
  • Serve as the project lead for any compliance-related reviews, programmatic and operational audits, board governance requests, or monitoring processes against local, state, and federal laws/regulations/requirements.
  • Communicate any deficiencies or findings; ensure that corrective action plans are implemented successfully and followed.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all programmatic audits; properly organize all compliance records, including management letters and findings.
  • Keep detailed records and calendars of compliance items in order to proactively anticipate future requests.
  • Complete research related to policy and legal requirements in support of an ongoing internal policy audit.
  • Other compliance-related special projects, as assigned.


Experience:


  • 3-5 years of experience in a K-12 setting; charter school experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including experience in project management and policy writing.
  • Compliance, operations, legal, and/or school leadership experience preferred.
