Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive contract proposal estimates across multiple disciplines, ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of our bids. Your expertise will be crucial in determining applicable project plans and specifications, and you will independently estimate plan/spec, design assist, or design-build projects of varying types and sizes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for contract proposals, covering one or more disciplines such as plumbing, piping, or sheet metal systems.
  • Project Analysis: Thoroughly review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Multidisciplinary Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge in at least two disciplines to provide precise and reliable estimates.
  • Independent Estimation: Lead the estimation process for plan/spec, design assist, and design-build projects, ensuring all estimates are comprehensive and competitive.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze project costs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and ensuring estimates align with budgetary constraints.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all estimates, assumptions, and methodologies used in the estimation process.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of estimating, engineering, or trade experience related to
  • 5+ years of knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts
  • Strong experience reading blueprints
  • 5+ years of advanced understanding and experience with the proposal interview process
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction processes
  • Prepare detailed MEP estimates (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) for construction projects across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and governmental
