Red Spot Paint & Varnish Co., Inc. currently has an immediate opening for a Second Shift Maintenance Supervisor to join our Operations Team at our Evansville, IN facility.

Description:

In this role, you will oversee and manage the administrative and operational staff, systems, and activities to ensure optimal functioning, maintenance and safety of all building properties manufacturing equipment, and lab equipment. Direct the maintenance of all building systems which includes: mechanical, electrical, fire, safety, plumbing, infrastructure etc. This role is responsible for execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, as developed by the Facility Maintenance Planner/Supervisor and supervises Bargaining Unit Maintenance employees. Also responsible for prioritizing daily repair requests and other construction/maintenance tasks from various Red Spot departments. Ensures facility maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and work orders are tracked and completed within budgeted guidelines. Manages contractor needs with Maintenance Planner/Supervisor. Initiates unplanned work orders using Blue Card system & Blue Card Spreadsheet. Initiates and completes planned PM’s work orders in CMMS. Initiates other tasks and project work using Weekly Objectives and Task List spreadsheet. Serves as backup to Facility Maintenance Planner Supervisor and Central Store Coordinator during absences. Assigns and prioritizes daily maintenance work and repair work with Facility Maintenance Planner Supervisor for 1st Shift/2nd Shift division. Assists with development of equipment/facility restoration plans.

The Maintenance Supervisor will work with Corporate EHS to implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs and guidelines in accordance with the law and corporate standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

(Includes education, experience, and licenses/certifications required. This list may not be all inclusive.)

· GED/High School diploma is required.

· 5+ years’ experience in Facility Maintenance. Any combination of equivalent education and experience (for those currently working in this job at Red Spot)

· 1+ years of Supervisory Experience.

· Knowledge of electrical, mechanical equipment used in manufacturing and facilities.

· Knowledge of day to day strategic issues, operational requirements and management of manufacturing facility.

· Proven ability to lead and mentor others

· Proven ability to run complete projects in their entirety and communicate appropriately with supervision

· Ability to work across departments, with customers, vendors, internally, in order to complete projects.

· Ability to successfully pass Ishihara Test for Colour-Deficiency

· Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingual.

· Must be available for second shift hours (between 2pm and 1:30am) with flexibility and some weekend work.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or Engineering field.

· 3+ years of supervisory experience.

· Manufacturing experience.
