Position Description:


  • Provides legal support to assigned attorneys or projects by conducting research, organizing files, scheduling depositions, and maintaining records.
  • Research various states requirements for licensing and certification requirements and prepares documents as needed.
  • Coordinates and gathers input across multiple corporate disciplines including Accounting, HR, Risk Management and Procurement.
  • Maintains files/database to ensure no lapses in certifications. Supports on-going projects and monitor compliance with contract requirements/certifications.
  • Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
  • Able to supervise other junior paralegals if needed.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field.
  • 5 years of paralegal or law clerk experience, with a focus in oil and gas.
  • Unconventional contract experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with commercial principles (and reviewing/negotiating langauge regarding same)
  • Experience negotiating MSAs or similar framework agreements.
  • Prefer oil/gas or manufacturing experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Legal.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word (formatting/redlining).
  • Knowledge of land management and mineral rights.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance in the oil and gas sector.


Position Details:

Location: Spring, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $55 per hour
