Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist/Legal Assistant to join our team, who is responsible for operating data entry devices and working within various lender systems. This role includes verifying data, processing files, preparing documents, completing milestones, and uploading information into our case management system and lender platforms. We'd love to have you on board if you are efficient, accurate, and comfortable working with legal and lender documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and enter data from source documents into specific data fields using keyboards or scanners.
- Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data prior to entry.
- Compare data against source documents or re-enter data to detect and correct errors.
- Store completed documents in designated online locations and ensure proper documentation.
- Identify and resolve data entry errors, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain logs of daily activities and completed tasks.
- Select necessary materials to complete data entry and other assignments.
- Assist with document preparation, backups, and milestones for legal cases and lender transactions.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1-2 years of data entry experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and manage time effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with maintaining a positive and professional office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with real estate and foreclosure documents.
- Familiarity with CaseWare, LPS, and various lender systems.
- Understanding of payroll systems and general legal procedures.
