The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the Chef/Owner & team in providing exceptional food quality and presentation for both Mayfield and The Pipe Room. Our kitchen is unique in that it essentially cooks for two restaurants: a more upscale eatery on the first floor and pub food for the bar located in the basement. It is a busy and fun environment that is always keeping things fresh & lively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production
  • Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards
  • Establish and maintain a regular cleaning schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff
  • Work on the line during dinner service


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of culinary or kitchen experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized & clean with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently as well as multi-tasking
  • Ability to adapt easily
