Construction Project Manager

About the Company - Thomas, Corder and Company is an established site development contracting company, serving Central and Eastern North Carolina. The company also has full integrated Civil Engineering capabilities, along with in-house surveyors. The company has a corporate office in Wilmington, NC, and now has an office in the Triangle Area. The company has well over 200+ associates and many different types of opportunities for advancement.
About the Role - Thomas Corder and Company is currently seeking a talented Project Manager. The management position is fully accountable for the financial performance and overall management direction for one or more multi-million-dollar site development construction projects.
- Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle.
- Plan and formulate construction project documentation and correspondence and engineering requirements.
- Adhere and manage the project budget.
- Collaborate with field management to ensure successful resolution of issues between the project plan and site execution on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure and communicate clear roles and responsibilities with the project team.
- Conduct weekly meetings and provide timely status reports to stakeholders.
- Oversee project contracts, purchase orders and other buyout activities.
- Submit accurate and timely cost and income projections for the project.
- Submit accurate and timely payment requisitions.
- Document all change conditions.
- Track, complete and submit all necessary municipal formal submittal information required for the project.
- Produce, maintain and demonstrate understanding of the project schedule, project milestones, and reasons for delays.
- Communicate to multiple project disciplines, Project Ownership, Architects, Engineers, and local Municipal Employees.
- Ensure an accident and injury free company protocols are followed at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management-Preferred, or 2-3 years of job experience, Assistant Project Management or Superintendent or higher field role with relevant, large scale heavy equipment projects.
- Strong organizational, project management, skills including Microsoft Excell, Project Plan 365 and Acumatica experience.
- Strong oral and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Must have completed the 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety course within the last 3-5 years.
- Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints
- Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
