Job Title: Network Administrator

Location: Minnetonka, MN - Hybrid flex

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our clients' team. In this role, you will assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various IT systems, including network infrastructure, desktop PCs, servers, phone systems, and software applications. You will also be responsible for maintaining system integrity, managing backups, and providing technical support, both on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of network equipment, desktop PCs, servers, phone systems, and software applications.
• Collaborate with the NOC to ensure the integrity and proper installation of backups (workstation, server, and cloud).
• Monitor, plan, and coordinate the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
• Organize and maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources.
• Maintain excellent communication with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, Account Managers, and clients on all tasks and projects.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Participate in after-hours on-call support on a rotating schedule.
• Perform frequent service audits, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Assist Account Managers with IT project management, including research, writing scope documents, and maintaining service levels.
• Provide end-user training and develop SOPs to enhance productivity.

• Focus on improving customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
• Work effectively within a team and communicate efficiently.
• Escalate service issues that cannot be resolved within agreed service levels.
• Keep customers informed of progress, impending changes, and outages.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of customer-specific IT needs and how IT aligns with their business strategy.
• Develop expertise in the service catalog and its application to customer requirements.
• Enter time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur.
• Adhere to daily schedules established through the dispatch process.
• Stay up-to-date with current and emerging technologies by reviewing IT publications and completing training materials in ConnectWise.
• Pursue IT certifications as part of continuing education.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Professional IT Certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or WatchGuard Security.
• Experience with Exchange Online and Office 365, including migrations and troubleshooting mail flow issues.
• Microsoft Teams administration experience.
• Intune MDM knowledge, including Conditional Access and compliance policies.
• Virtualization experience, primarily with Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience with WatchGuard firewalls and policy-driven firewall configurations.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting managed network switches with VLANs and routing.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical awareness and knowledge of IT support tools and processes.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of IT experience.
