The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficient and effective procurement, production, and distribution of materials and products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, particularly within the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain best practices, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and service levels.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and distribution of materials and products.
  • Implement and manage warehouse and logistics operations to maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination across the supply chain.
  • Support new product development and introduction (NPDI) by ensuring timely availability of materials.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management\
  • 5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace industry required
  • Proven experience in negotiations, procurement, strategic planning, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to aerospace manufacturing and supply chain.
