Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to manage and elevate our quality control processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and upholding our commitment to product excellence.


What You’ll Do:

Lead and Strategize

  • Help develop and implement quality systems and processes for our Newark facility.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create strategic plans that meet and exceed quality objectives.
  • Be a trusted partner to teams across the organization, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.

Ensure Compliance and Conduct Audits

  • Oversee adherence to USDA, FDA, HACCP, GFSI, FSMA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead internal audits and help maintain key certifications such as SQF and other GFSI benchmarks.
  • Prepare and manage quality documentation, including non-conformance reports and recall protocols.

Foster Continuous Improvement

  • Review and refine quality standards to support operational needs.
  • Use data-driven insights to solve problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance production methods and product quality.

Work with Suppliers and Products

  • Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and support product development.
  • Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Report and Communicate

  • Prepare clear and timely reports on quality metrics, consumer feedback, and operational improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to share updates and address challenges.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in quality control, ideally within food manufacturing or another regulated industry.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in food science, business, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in HACCP, FSMA, GFSI, and SQF; familiarity with data analysis tools and quality control software. Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying root causes and driving meaningful solutions.
