EHS Manager
Role Overview:

As an EHS Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance for over 500 employees. You will partner with facility leadership to drive safety priorities, develop actionable plans to mitigate risks, and empower teams through training and guidance. Your efforts will contribute to creating a trusted, communicative environment focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Safety Leadership: Collaborate with facility leaders to identify and prioritize safety initiatives. Develop and implement plans that address significant risks and align with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Program Development: Design, manage, and support the execution of safety policies and programs to maintain high safety awareness and uphold our commitment to safety as a top priority.
  • Training & Empowerment: Train and mentor leaders and team members on safety practices, risk identification, and mitigation strategies. Foster a culture of risk-based thinking and adaptability.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with the Plant Leadership team, HR, and external partners to address safety issues, develop training materials, and implement recommendations from safety assessments.
  • Incident Management: Lead investigations and root cause analyses for incidents. Ensure corrective actions are taken and documented appropriately.
  • Compliance & Audits: Audit safety procedures to ensure compliance. Maintain up-to-date documentation and manage inspections and EHS corrective actions.
  • Committee & Team Management: Lead the Site Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team. Oversee site insurance loss control and workers' compensation programs.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and oversee the annual EHS budget, ensuring effective management of resources and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Alternatively, 10 years of EHS experience with 5 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an EHS management role, preferably in manufacturing or distribution settings.
  • Certifications: Relevant EHS certifications are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, lead safety programs, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Travel:
  • Up to 10% travel required, as needed.
