Assistant Land Development Field Manager

Position Overview
The Assistant Land Development Field Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of land development activities across multiple residential construction projects in the Greater Seattle area. This role serves as a crucial liaison between contractors, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day field operations for multiple land development projects
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality
- Review and process contractor payment applications
- Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, and other stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining project schedules and identifying potential delays
- Document site conditions and maintain detailed project records
- Support the permitting process and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams including purchasing, construction, and warranty
- Assist in preparing progress reports and cost forecasts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in residential land development or similar construction field
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and construction management software
- Strong understanding of local building codes and land development regulations
- Experience with civil construction drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software and GIS systems
- Knowledge of Seattle-area municipalities and permitting processes
- OSHA certification
- Experience with stormwater management and erosion control
- Background in production homebuilding

- Ability to walk construction sites in various weather conditions
- Capability to climb ladders and navigate uneven terrain
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Visual acuity to review plans and specifications
