The Production Expeditor III will manage and maintain material and parts inventory, ensuring the timely movement of materials between production areas based on predetermined schedules and order priorities. The role includes tracking and expediting production orders through to manufacturing completion and customer shipment. Additionally, the Expeditor will manage labor in the stockroom, aligning with the pick schedule and adjusting as needed based on labor availability and business needs. They will also develop project charters, assemble project teams, and lead stockroom-specific process improvement projects.
What You’ll do
- Maintain accurate records of machine picks, jobs, and orders to ensure that all are on the production floor are accompanied by the correct paperwork to reflect the correct work center/bay required for each job.
- Communicate with Sourcing, Production, Inventory Control and Order Fulfillment with any material issues that may arise through the course of material picks, production and/or shipment that could potentially cause a demand not being met.
- Close out all new equipment machine builds and release the machine to ship to the customer.
- Support production through the manufacturing process as required while also being capable in pulling back parts from Production to satisfy critical demand by manually re-allocating demand by reserving through PeopleSoft.
- Provide guidance and support on a daily basis for Production Expeditor I position as well as train and cross train Material Handlers on the Production Expeditor I and II roles.
- Adjust inventory, ship methods to accommodate customer deadlines and labor to accommodate pick schedules.

What You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- 6 years of experience within an MRP and/or PeopleSoft environment.
- Experience working with leadership to analyze/ implement policies and make calculated decisions in relation to said policies.
- 4 years of experience in Lean manufacturing environment.
