Position summary:
We are seeking a Scientist I/II to join our growing therapeutics team. The key functions for this lab-based role is to design and perform cell-based experiments to assess the performance of our novel RNA molecules and to conduct the end-point assays for various in vivo experiments (e.g. ELISA, MSD, flow cytometry). These experiments will generate proof of concept across various vaccine candidates and other immune cell therapeutic programs. Key responsibilities:
· Design & conduct cell-based experiments to assess the expression and immunogenicity of novel RNA constructs
· Design & conduct various immunological assays such as ELISA, MSD, western blots, flow cytometry, and RT-qPCR
· Contribute to the advancement of leads internal and collaboration programs.
· Maintain detailed record of experimental protocols and data in electronic lab notebook.
· Collaborate across research teams to facilitate the success of programs.
Qualifications:
· M.S. or Ph.D. in immunology / virology / cellular biology or related field with 4-8 or 0-4 years of relevant experience in industry, respectively.
· Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture, ELISpot, ELISA and Flow Cytometry is required.
· Expertise in primary human cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, multiplex cytokine detection and functional assays (e.g. proliferation, cytotoxicity) is required
· Experience in vaccines and/or cell therapies (e.g. T cell, HSCs) is required.
· Experience with western blots and/or RT-qPCR is highly desirable.
· Hands on experiments with in vivo (mouse) experiments is desired.
· Ability to troubleshoot and analyze data.
· Ability to adapt to increasing scope and complexity of work.
