We're an employee owned site development and heavy civil excavation contractor servicing Columbia and surrounding areas. We've been a leader in earthmoving, grading, demolition, and underground utilities since 1992 and our reputation garners new business opportunity. We're expanding and looking for a Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team Could it be you?

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects including excavation, sitework, and utilities.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to validate project assumptions and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditions and requirements.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating heavy civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of excavation, sitework, and utilities.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
