HSC Group is a leading cybersecurity event and media company dedicated to fostering a robust cybersecurity community. We proudly host three major conferences: OT.SEC.CON, focused on securing operational technology; EXEC.SEC.CON, which emphasizes cybersecurity leadership; and HOU.SEC.CON, a regional event that has expanded to attract over 2,500 attendees from around the globe. In addition to these flagship events, we facilitate the HSC User Group, a monthly gathering that connects professionals across the cybersecurity spectrum, from executives and security architects to students and enthusiasts. 


Our mission is to support and empower the cybersecurity community through ongoing education and engagement. Our media platform features a wealth of resources, including articles, videos, and a podcast, aimed at enhancing knowledge and awareness. Furthermore, through the TAB Foundation, we extend our commitment by providing students and veterans with access to vital cybersecurity certifications, ensuring that the next generation of professionals is well-equipped to tackle emerging challenges in the field.


Position Overview: 

We are searching for a program manager to facilitate the successful planning and execution of our 3 conferences and monthly user group. 


Responsibilities:

  • Develop event concepts, timelines, and budgets. 
  • Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, insurance, AV, power, internet, parking, security, etc. 
  • Manage all aspects of the event platform including registration pages, exhibitor portal, speaker portal, agenda, and conference app.
  • Manage attendee registrations and conference check-in process.
  • Work with the Sponsor Wrangler to facilitate sponsor sign-ups and effectively communicate event logistics.
  • Work with the Volunteer Wrangler to coordinate volunteer recruitment and logistics.
  • Oversee the Call for Papers (CFP) and work with the Speaker Wrangler to finalize selections and communicate event logistics.
  • Oversee the event setup, coordinate with vendors, and manage staff during the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Gather feedback from attendees and stakeholders, analyze event success, and document lessons learned for future events.
  • Work with HOU.SEC.CON. team and event committees to incorporate their feedback into the events.


Qualifications:

  • Based in Houston, TX with ability to travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, public relations, or communications; or a combination of relevant experience. 
  • 3 – 5 years of experience managing field marketing events with a proven track record in leading large-scale events. 
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in collaborating with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Experience at a Cybersecurity OEM or VAR is a plus (but not mandatory).
