LiuGong North America seeks a Parts Manager for its Headquarters location in Katy, Texas. We seek a candidate possessing the knowledge, skills and experience of supply chain management by leading an AFTERMARKET PARTS TEAM supporting Wheel Loaders, Hydraulic Excavators, Dozers, Forklifts and other related construction equipment to join our team of highly motivated individuals.


The Parts Manager oversees $10 Million Dollars in Parts Sales as well as the Parts Team, a warehouse in Mexico, and other duties include facilitating parts ordering, replenishment, and fulfillment performance, and improvement. The Manager creates and monitors reports such as back order, fill ratio, inventory orders, etc. Customer service skills and technical knowledge of aftermarket repair parts is required. Office hours are M-F 8am – 5pm. (On site/Not Remote)


SPECIFIC DUTIES


•Act as key point of contact for North American Parts to provide accurate and up to date information to management as well as internal and external customers as required.


•Lead the Parts Team to work within a cross-functional environment to develop, execute and maintain parts solutions (tactical & strategic) in alignment with evolving customer and market needs.


•Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet established customer on time delivery and service levels.


•Perform monthly assessments of historical inventory levels by SKU and adjust stocking strategies accordingly in order to maintain or improve service levels.


•Maintain, track and present monthly performance metrics to management and drive the root cause and countermeasure process to drive continuous improvement in all parts distribution warehouse activities.


•Drive local sourcing initiatives with purchasing and suppliers as well as provide parts training to the dealer network.


•Complete cross training of the LiuGong products and assist in the development of new software to support all products.


•Assist with parts technical support as well as superior follow-up and communications for dealers and internal service personnel.


•Develop pricing plans, stocking incentives and other initiatives to grow the parts business and provide superior After Sales support.


•Research and recommend the proper parts, solve parts technical issues and work with staff in overseas offices.


Reporting, Analysis, Scorecard, and Communication


• Partner with leadership team to prepare various reports, analysis, presentations, and scorecards.


• Produce routine reporting packages for management. Develop reporting metrics and drivers to understand inventory results like inventory variance and cost root cause analysis supporting decision-making and budget goals.


• Effectively communicate clear, concise, accurate information that caters to the levels of detail needed by recipients to translate inventory performance results into business insights and actions.

• Oversee sales and service departments parts requests.


• Build systems and processes for inventory control and parts management best practices.

Some light travel domestically will be required on occasion as well as travel to Mexico.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years Heavy Machinery industry experience a must.

•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be detailed-oriented with good organizational skills.

•Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers.

•Leadership experience of 5-10 years preferred.

•Team player attitude with ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

•Thoroughly skilled on MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook), including ability to create and manage spreadsheets in an efficient manner.

•Good mechanical aptitude is a must (auto and/or heavy machinery)

•Microsoft Office; Heavy Microsoft Excel

•Parts technical knowledge is required.

•SAP knowledge strongly preferred.
