Jefferson Health is nationally ranked as one of the top health care systems in the country and the largest provider in the Philadelphia area, serving patients through millions of encounters each year at 18 hospitals and over 50 outpatient and urgent care locations throughout the region. Jefferson Health Plans is a not-for-profit managed health care organization providing a broad range of health coverage options in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for more than 35 years. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned strategic planning leader to join the leadership team of a $9.7 billion integrated healthcare network anchored by a world-class academic medical center and a nationally ranked university. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the development of Jefferson’s strategic planning and business development processes.


Candidates must be skilled navigators of complex organizational and leadership structures with multiple business units and possess a sophisticated understanding of the drivers, trends, and forces that impact health care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge and expertise in project management, quality improvement, and a proven ability in the development and facilitation of planning sessions with senior level executives, directors/trustees, and other stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master's degree is strongly preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years senior level healthcare management experience with demonstrated leadership in strategic and business planning, financial planning and analysis, and program development within a complex, multi-unit, integrated healthcare organization is required. Experience in an academic setting and/or with insurance plans will be a plus.
