Process Technician Responsibilities:

  • Provide machine set-up and process support for all production processes
  • Clean, stage and tear down molds to meet production needs (requires high attention to detail and care for machinery)
  • Effectively communicate in a timely manner any issues or breakdowns to maintenance
  • Effectively communicate in a timely manner any tooling issues to the Production Manager and the team Process Engineer
  • Measure first shots for each production job
  • Run sample parts and facilitate in establishing processes for new and transfer tooling projects


Process Technician Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 2-year training certificate or Associates Degree in plastics-related subject (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience with advanced plastic injection molding processing
  • Attended advanced training courses in plastic injection molding processing
  • General understanding of automation systems and equipment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Basic blueprint reading skill
  • Strong written/verbal communication, leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Understanding of ISO and FDA/GMP regulations regarding production processes and documentation practices
