Job Title: Senior Product Owner – Cloud Security

Location: Plano, TX

Job Type: Contract


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmaps, and growth opportunities, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to understand customer needs and align product development with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with business and product management teams to maintain a product backlog that prioritizes business value and ROI.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in agile project management.

Key Duties:

  • Design and refine software and business processes, including process modeling and grooming user stories, for platforms such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
  • Break down business requirements into features and user stories within Jira Align, and manage technical details in Jira.
  • Work closely with offshore and onshore DevOps teams to fine-tune user stories and review test cases with SDETs and the manual testing team.
  • Engage with enterprise-wide teams to analyze current customer experiences, pinpoint areas for improvement, and drive product vision and strategy.
  • Develop integration scripts and procedures using EAI tools and manage integration with backend systems.
  • Identify and resolve impediments impacting the Kubernetes platform, such as migrations from Gen 3 to Gen 4 and component upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in cloud security, including implementing private cloud solutions using various security products.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud computing concepts such as virtualization, containerization, microservices, and serverless architectures.
  • In-depth understanding of security practices across IAM, RHCOS, container security, Kubernetes security, data protection, encryption, auditing, and CI/CD security.
  • Experience with IAM policy as code and tools such as OPA (Open Policy Agent) and Cedar.
  • Strong technical acumen in IT security, with demonstrated leadership in managing product teams and aligning security practices with digital transformation.
  • Deep understanding of identity security principles, including least privilege, separation of duties, and zero-trust design.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (EKS, AKS, OpenShift, Kubernetes on-prem).
  • Experience in working with automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Crossplane) and coding/scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
  • Competence in designing customer journeys for application and Kubernetes platforms, utilizing tools such as Grafana for dashboards.
  • Skilled in converting high-level business requirements into user stories with Agile tools like Jira and Jira Align.
