Position Overview
The building automation technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the building automation systems that control and monitor the various mechanical and electrical systems within a building. They must have a thorough understanding of building automation technology and be able to work independently to ensure the system is functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and program building automation systems according to specifications and design plans
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building automation equipment and controls
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance to identify and resolve any issues
- Update software and firmware as needed to ensure system functionality
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC and electrical systems
- Experience with PLC, Controls, Distech, SCADA, and Ignition systems
- Open to travel
