Pay Range: $80 - $85/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct risk analysis on a set of portfolios for varying mandates types (active, passive, liquid alternative) with broad underlying exposure types (fixed income, equity, commodity, derivatives)
  • Production and analysis of Value-at-Risk, Tracking Error, Liquidity Ratios, Transaction Cost, and other strategy specific risk metrics
  • Prepare funds’ risk program Fund Board materials
  • Document risk process and risk assessments
  • Contribute to special projects related to risk framework or other risk topics
  • Contribute to the enhancements of risk tools and framework.
  • Prepare Investment Risk materials to be presented at risk oversight committee(s).
  • Support maintenance of risk data.


Key Requirements and Technology Experience:


  • University degree (or equivalent) in Finance or quantitative field
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in financial industry (Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Valuation, Vendor of Risk Analytics)
  • Proven experience with analytical models for financial instruments
  • Previous experience with risk systems
  • Chartered Financial Analyst or Financial Risk Manager designations is considered a plus
  • Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments including related analytics and risk factors
  • Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SQL
  • Interest in working in an international environment with excellent command of English language
  • Proactive mind-set to propose improvements and new solutions
  • Knowledge about regulatory frameworks for asset managers and different portfolio management strategies is considered a plus
