The Help Desk Support Technician plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users within an organization. They address various IT-related issues, ensuring smooth operations and efficient resolution of problems.

Responsibilities:


Account Management:

  • Manage user accounts on all servers, including adding, removing, and maintaining accounts.
  • Handle password changes, account resets, and account removals for employees whose jobs have been terminated.


Inventory Management:

  • Assist with terminated employee equipment:
  • Safely handle equipment removal and breakdown.
  • Update inventory records accordingly.
  • Conduct quarterly audits to maintain accurate inventory records.


Computer Refresh and Returns:

  • Manage computer refresh cycles.
  • Process tickets for equipment returns.


Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with senior network engineers to optimize network performance.
  • Document all resolved tickets accurately and in a timely manner.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in acquisitions and special projects.
  • Maintain an organized lab environment and server room.


Qualifications:

  • Work with spreadsheets using tools such as ServiceNow, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Be open to using Jira for issue tracking and project management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Technical proficiency in software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
