Title: Plant Supervisor

Location: Based in Wallingford Connecticut

Job type: Full time, 8-hour shift


YOUR MANDATE


The Plant Supervisor at our Wallingford, Connecticut facility will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and safe production processes. This role is critical in managing the plant’s recycling operations, focusing on quality control, workforce management, and process optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Under the supervision of the Vice president of operations, the incumbent of the role will ensure the efficiency and the productivity of the plant.


More specifically:


  • Supervise and coordinate all activities within the plant to ensure production meets quality and efficiency standards.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct regular safety audits, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure the quality of recycled paper products meets established standards.
  • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency and productivity, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, safety, and other key metrics.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during production, including equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and workforce challenges.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. preferably in the paper industry or recycling.
  • Strong communication, leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Proficient in using production management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
