Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced localization and perception software for lunar rover navigation
  • Utilize innovative sensor fusion techniques to improve accuracy and reliability
  • Create and refine algorithms for terrain mapping and obstacle avoidance to support autonomous path planning
  • Integrate software with rover hardware, ensuring smooth and efficient operation in lunar conditions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with mission goals
  • Lead the testing and validation process through detailed simulations and real-world trials
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate engineering efforts to meet milestones


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in localization, perception, sensor fusion, and mapping technologies
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, and experience with ROS
  • Background in developing perception and localization systems for unstructured or off-road environments
  • Must be a U.S. Person


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Previous experience with space robotics or autonomous systems
  • Expertise in developing algorithms for systems with limited resources
  • Contributions to research or open-source projects in relevant fields
  • Proven leadership and project management skills
