Toorak Capital Partners is an integrated mortgage lending platform that acquires business purpose residential, multifamily and mixed-use loans throughout the U.S. and the United Kingdom. With offices in Summit, N.J and Tampa, FL., Toorak Capital Partners acquires these loans directly from our lender affiliate as well as a network of private lenders.
Toorak is seeking a Capital Markets Associate Principal for our expanding team.
The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years of experience in managing all aspects of securitization and whole loan transaction manager of residential whole loans which include Non-QM, DSCR and business purpose loans. This includes coordinating with various counterparties including bankers, lawyers, custodian and various other deal parties. Toorak will be both buyer and seller of whole loans and this candidate should also have experience managing and settling whole loan trades. Experience working for an aggregator is a plus.
Essential Responsibilities
- Transaction management for securitization and whole loan trading (both buy and sell of residential mortgages.
- Ability to manage various counterparties (internal and external) in the securitization process Utilize programming knowledge as well as internal technology resources to create process efficiencies and enhance trading capacity and capability
- Assist in maintaining relationships with external third parties including rating agencies, banks, lawyers and lenders and brokers
- Manage securitization and whole loan transaction process
Desired Qualifications
- 6-8+ years’ experience with Non-QM, Bridge, SFR and other residential mortgage loans
- Fixed Income Markets knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize accordingly
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with Senior Management regarding the progress and results of volume and timelines
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints
- 4-year degree from accredited university required
