OneSparQ is looking for an IT Cyber Security Engineer in Cleveland, OH.


Requires Skills:

  • Cyber Security certification (CISSP, CISM, etc.)
  • 5+ years of professional cyber security experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience with network and endpoint/server security technologies, monitoring, Incident Response, and protective security controls
  • Ability to oversee cyber security department as an independent team


Additional Skills:

  • Bachelors' Degree in IT, Information Security, or similar


Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with auditors, business constituents, and regulators regarding IT Security.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT Security program, guiding the organization on appropriate services, technologies, and best practices.
  • Assess the security impact of new technology installations, collaborating with IT teams and business owners.
  • Monitor emerging IT Security threats, assess company risk, and implement mitigating measures promptly.
  • Conduct regular reviews, provide exception/exposure reporting and remediation plans to leadership, and ensure regular review of security systems and logs.
  • Develop security-related training programs, awareness campaigns, metrics, and skills training for the IT Department.
  • Implement enterprise-wide security controls to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures related to information security.
  • Conduct security audits and technical assessments of the network, both internal and external, and work with IT teams to improve security.
