The oldest competitive youth soccer club in San Diego, San Diego Surf Soccer Club was established in 1977 to draw the best players from the surrounding areas of Carlsbad, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, Leucadia, Solana Beach and Del Mar to form teams to compete against the best teams in southern California. Surf Soccer Club’s overall competitive vision and organizational focus has remained largely unchanged, as 30+ years later the Club continues to field teams who compete at the highest levels locally, regionally and nationally.


San Diego Surf Soccer Club has produced 19 National Championships, 29 Regional Champions, over 100 State Champions, hundreds of college scholarship athletes, over 200+ National team players, and multiple MLS and professional players. At every age group, Surf Soccer Club teams are playing at the highest levels against the toughest competition, in the most competitive leagues.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as the Head Soccer Coach/Director at San Diego Surf Soccer Club. As the Head Soccer Coach/Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the coaching staff, developing and implementing training programs, managing team schedules and logistics, and providing guidance and mentorship to players. You will also collaborate with other club staff and stakeholders to ensure the success and growth of the soccer program.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a soccer coach, preferably at the youth or collegiate level
  • Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, tactics, and strategies
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Certifications such as USSF, NSCAA, or equivalent
  • Passion for youth development and player mentorship
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of athletes, parents, and staff
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
