About the Role:

We are looking for a corporate trainer to join our Customer Success Team under our IS Operations department. The ideal candidate will maintain strong client relationships while operating in a fast-moving environment. This person will host various levels of trainings for internal users across our divisions. The trainings will be conducted in person, remote, or in a hybrid setting. There is an estimated 35 – 50% travel. Candidate must be adept at facilitating training sessions tailored to a variety of learning styles and role types, ensuring clear communication to diverse audiences.


Essential Functions:

  • Conduct trainings on Microsoft 365 products (beginner, intermediate, and advanced)
  • Conduct trainings on proprietary IS applications and other 3rd party software used at EOG
  • Assist other trainers with moderating trainings
  • Build and revamp training agendas and presentations
  • Manage training logistics (organize, scheduling, communication with client)
  • Design training programs tailored to specific groups
  • Assess training needs to fill skill gaps through surveys, interviews, etc.
  • Skill in designing and developing instructional content


Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of corporate training experience
  • Flexibility to travel as required to deliver trainings (estimated 35 – 50 %)
  • Ability to quickly learn new products, software, and applications
  • Experience with presenting to both individuals and large groups
  • Strong organizational skills with planning and coordinating training sessions and content
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of learners to create a supportive training environment
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and address training challenges and obstacles effectively


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field
  • MS-100 certified or similar certification
  • Experience with training in the energy industry with an understanding of Oil and Gas operations and software
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) software, including proficiency in administration, content creation, and user support
  • Advanced training experience on Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint
  • Experience with training on Python, Microsoft SQL, and Visio
