Description

  • Product / Process Developer with a min of 5 yrs of exp in bakery product development and manufacturing.
  • Focus on product optimization, quality improvements, and implementation of manufacturing standards.
  • Responsible for optimization and standardization of bakery products and processes across multiple facilities.
  • Lead execution of brand value and quality improvements, optimization work, and ongoing product and process manufacturing support services.
  • Develop and manage project plans and timelines ensuring that projects are delivered on time.
  • Assess product and manufacturing processes, gather and analyze data, and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Lead assigned projects and collaborate with cross functional team members.
  • Key stakeholders include R&D product development, business team, quality, sensory and consumer science, marketing, manufacturing, suppliers, co-manufacturers, packaging, and regulatory.


Requirements

  • BS Degree in Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 yrs of exp working within Food Manufacturing, and Product and Process Development Technology in the Food Industry.
  • Strong Food Science, Food Formulation and Manufacturing knowledge with some basic understanding of Food Chemistry.
  • Strong technical and Project Management skills, and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization.
  • Use of software including Word, Excel and Minitab.
  • Ability to influence others and get results while working with a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage complexity of multiple project activities.
  • Possess executional excellence, personal leadership, time management and problem-solving competencies.
  • Excellent understanding of the food industry including product manufacturing, GMPs, and product quality specifications.
  • Position is part time, avg 20 hr/wk contract for 1 yr, with ~40% travel.
