HR Coordinator/ Office Manager

Our client is seeking an HR Coordinator/Office Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis. Under the general supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator/Office Manager performs a wide variety of HR-related duties and office tasks at the Bolingbrook facility. This position carries out responsibilities primarily in the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits administration, Payroll, on boarding new hires, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and HR Documentation.
Essential Functions:
1. Perform HR tasks for the SSF location including hiring, new hire paperwork, benefit administration and payroll.
2. Recruitment and staffing for production and office positions up to management level hiring.
3. Post job ads and review resumes. Managers the interview process.
4. Payroll. Updates payroll, monitors and daily punches, enters PTO time, processes payroll through Paylocity every Monday. Monitors and reviews reports.
5. Provides guidance and support to management team regarding employee relations.
6. Provides support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation, etc.
7. Processes billing and invoicing regarding HR expenses such as Healthcare, dues, and 401k funding.
8. Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures;
9. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees so that they can make informed decisions. Participates in annual renewal and selection of benefit plans.
10. Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
11. Administers company ESOP program.
12. Managing office manager duties like ordering supplies and maintaining breakrooms stocked. Filing work orders for contractors.
13. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
1. Minimum of three years of progressive experience in Human Resources position.
2. Minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing/factory environment.
3. Previous experience dealing with an ESOP a plus.
4. Experience administering employee benefit plans, recruitment and compensation plans.
5. Any similar combination of education and experience.
