Business Project Manager

Overview: Our client, a leading technology company known for its innovative solutions and global impact, is seeking a seasoned Business Project Manager to spearhead a variety of business projects. These projects predominantly focus on payments platforms and require expertise in system implementation, change management, process improvement, and geographical business expansion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects, including new system implementations and business expansions.
  • Collaborate with global teams to assess current processes, identify pain points, and develop effective solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and engineering teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Drive process improvements and enhancements across multiple business areas such as sales, service, support, logistics, finance, and compliance.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and decisions, providing timely updates and elevating critical concerns to senior management.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to VP-level executives using PowerPoint or Keynote.


Methodology:

  • Oversee projects using both Waterfall (75%) and Agile (25%) methodologies.
  • Integrate Agile and Waterfall practices to optimize project outcomes.


Top Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Project Manager at the enterprise level.

  • Expertise in payments platforms, eCommerce, and SAP.

  • Experience with Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and leading global projects.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Experience with Agile project management.
  • Knowledge of integrating Agile and Waterfall methodologies.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Maintain constant and effective communication with managers, leaders, and subject matter experts across various business and technology areas.
  • Independently run projects and programs, setting up milestones and progress reports.
  • Lead strategic programs while executing tactical project-level activities.
  • Quickly address escalations, perform root cause analysis, and develop problem solutions for operational issues.
