Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's or minimum of 7 years of experience in Municipal Accounting & Budgets
  • Possess Supervisory Skills

Desired

  • Master's Degree in accounting of financial field
  • Proficient in investments


Essential Duties

  • Oversee Accounting Department staff and daily accounting functions.
  • Manage all our client's Bank Accounts.
  • Manage General Ledgers and create Financial Statements for all our client's funds.
  • Prepare Revenue and Expense Statements for Board review and approval.
  • Prepare Annual Budgets and present them to the Board for approval and submission to the County.
  • Prepare Tax Levies and present them to the Board for approval and submission to the County.
  • Create Monthly Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund pension contribution statements report.
  • Manage and prepare all necessary records for various Audits.
  • Take responsibility for all financial aspects of new grants and funding applications.
  • Perform other duties as needed
