We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Representative: Mid-Atlantic Area for a client in CT.
MUST HAVES:
- This candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the analytical lab equipment sector, or inside sales experience in consumables, with a proven track record in prospecting and managing a sales funnel.
- Candidate must sit within a 50 mile radius of Trenton, NJ and close commute to an airport
DETAILS:
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: Mid-Atlantic area(NJ home address preferred)
Pay Rate: $65-70K base plus Un-capped Commission and $500 per month car allowance
Travel: This position will be remote but will have 60% travel domestically within the territory (DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA), with occasional visits to company headquarters in Shelton, CT.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Travel Requirements: The ideal candidate will be based in Central to Southern New Jersey or Eastern Pennsylvania, ensuring convenient access to an airport hub for travel within the Mid-Atlantic region. Most travel will occur within the territory (DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA), with occasional visits to company headquarters in Shelton, CT.
- Sales Development: The primary focus of this position is to generate sales activity and create opportunities for the analytical product line within the region.
- Prospecting: The successful candidate will excel in prospecting and establishing connections with customers, both in-person and virtually, leveraging our existing database and tools such as ZoomInfo.
- Customer Engagement: Understand customer needs and convert initial interest into product demonstrations (either virtual or in-person). The number of completed demonstrations per month will be a key performance metric.
- On-Site Demonstrations: Plan and conduct on-site demonstrations of our analytical products, specifically the ultraWAVE and DMA80.
- Collaboration: Partner with Regional and Marketing Managers to develop and implement targeted activities for specific markets or products.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing sales partners to maximize their benefit to the territory.
- User Engagement: Utilize the current user base to foster brand loyalty and identify additional opportunities for our products.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the analytical lab equipment sector, or inside sales experience in consumables, with a proven track record in prospecting and managing a sales funnel.
- Must possess a solutions-oriented approach to sales
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets, supported by a clear history of achieving sales quotas.
- Technical knowledge or aptitude in inorganic and organic chemistry applications is preferred.
- Experience with sample preparation or metals analysis is a plus
- Ability to travel is essential for this position, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 60%, depending on the candidate's location.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong computer proficiency.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Salesforce is a plus
