Master Scheduler

My firm is working with a growing manufacturing plant in upstate NY that is looking for a Master Scheduler. This role will be managing and coordinating all aspects of production scheduling to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products or services, oversees and maintains production schedules, monitoring resource availability and balancing capacity with demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling based on customer demand, production capacity, and resource availability.
o Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
o Prioritize orders and projects to meet deadlines
o Anticipate any resource shortages or production constraints and propose solutions.
o Continuously evaluate production capacity and plan schedules
o Adjust schedules to reflect changes in demand, supply chain disruptions
o Analyze historical data to forecast future production needs
o Monitor the progress of scheduled production and make adjustments
o Proactively communicate delays or challenges to management
o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and scheduling (e.g., on-time delivery, lead times, production efficiency).
o Generate regular reports on production status, schedule performance, and resource utilization for senior management.
o Identify areas for process improvements in scheduling and production workflows.
o Recommend and implement best practices for scheduling and resource optimization.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration
o Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPSM, or PMP) are a plus.
• Experience:
o 3-5 years of experience in production scheduling, supply chain management, or operations planning in a manufacturing environment.
o Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and production scheduling software.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and experience with scheduling or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
