Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Surgical Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of surgical procedures, from initial patient consultations to post-operative follow-ups. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient consultations, follow ups and surgical procedures in accordance with physician availability and patient preferences.
  • Educate patients about pre-operative instructions, including fasting requirements, medication guidelines, and post-operative care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients throughout the surgical process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, including surgical consent forms, medical histories, and post-operative instructions.
  • Collaborate with billing staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing for surgical services.
  • Monitor surgical schedules and make adjustments as needed to accommodate emergencies or changes in patient status.


Requirements/Qualifications:


- Bachelors Degree preferred


- Interest in a career in healthcare and opportunity for growth


- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic environment preferred


- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology


- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment


- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
