ADC Synthetic Chemist

We are seeking a highly talented ADC synthetic chemist to join our Chemistry Excellence Department at Apeloa’s Boston site. The candidate will be responsible for leading our ADC chemistry teams at Apeloa’s Boston site. They will effectively manage the chemistry resources in our Boston and China facilities to support our partner/customer projects in a timely manner. The candidate should have a deep understanding of organic chemistry and reaction mechanisms. Extensive experience in ADC (Antibody-Drug Conjugates) is required. They should have a track record of accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Lead ADC chemistry team to support customer projects in a timely manner and communicate effectively with customers for project updates.
• Contribute in an impactful manner to synthesis especially in the ADC area for portfolio projects.
• Present Apeloa’s ADC platform to our customers and work closely with BDs to support business development.
• Effectively manage chemistry resources at Boston and China sites with clear and open communication.
• Effectively manage ADC lab and ensure safe working environment.
• Active participation in recruitment, training, and development of scientific staff.

Qualifications

• PhD with >3 years of ADC experience, or BS/MS with >6 years of ADC experience.
• Extensive ADC linker and LP (linker-payload) synthetic experience and knowledge;
• Extensive knowledge of ADC LP and antibody conjugation synthesis;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
• Lab management experience is preferred.
