Purpose of Position: The Assistant Regional Manager plays a critical role in the daily success of a portfolio of apartment communities. This role oversees all aspects of property operations, ensuring high occupancy rates, resident satisfaction, and a well-maintained community environment. The Assistant Regional Manager leads and mentors site teams, fostering a culture of excellence and service.


Essential Duties:


Property Operations & Performance

  • Oversee the daily operations of assigned apartment communities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain high occupancy rates through effective marketing, leasing strategies, and exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively manage property maintenance, ensuring timely completion of service requests and preventative maintenance programs.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate site teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support employee growth.


Resident Experience & Retention

  • Cultivate a welcoming and supportive community environment that fosters resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous resolution of resident concerns, maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Implement resident engagement programs and activities to enhance the living experience.


Financial Management & Reporting

  • Support the financial health of the properties, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data and ensure compliance with company procedures.


Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure properties comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the timely completion of recertifications and assist with file audits.
  • Maintain accurate resident records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.


Essential Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in property management, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory role.
  • Experience managing large, high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and property management best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., OneSite, Yardi, RealPage).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass a criminal background check.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
