Who are we looking for?

The Market Center Director of Technology & Innovation is a caring, service oriented, technology guru. They will be the driver for all tech training and support for both the Market Center Leadership Team and our Agents. They are positive, articulate, and proactive in their communication with a general can-do attitude.

This person loves to learn and is constantly researching new and innovative technologies that support the market center and its agents. They play a supporting role within the market center and should achieve success by helping and empowering other people.

We are looking for someone with technology and training in their background, a problem solver, a business consultant, someone who is proactive, passionate, and a people-oriented individual who operates with urgency. They must have a solid understanding and foundation in technology and have training and/or extensive prior experience with computer networks, phone systems, software, and office technology. They think strategically and systematically.


When presented with a challenge, their go-to is to problem solve, innovate and assist in implementing a solution.

The Director of Technology & Innovation must know how to get the job done and stay on track. Since they will most likely be working on projects while handling requests for support and assistance, they will need to be able to put people first, while also staying task focused in order to complete their work. This person will manage detail well, and take care of problems before they occur by dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. They should also be able to plan their activities and follow through.


They will be the person that troubleshoots and resolves all tech issues, for all systems and technology within the market center, as well as aiding in the solution process for all agent technology trouble-shooting needs that arise.



JOB PROFILE—DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION

1. Technology Research & Strategic Planning:

  • In order to be the guru, this person will seek to always learn more about what’s happening in the tech industry, real estate industry, and social media world. They will forecast technology needs. As we move to the front edge on all lines, the DOTI will use research to develop strategic plans for the market center and for agents.


2. Technology Training:

  • The DOTI will oversee and implement training on both the Market Center level, and the individual agent level. This may include but is not limited to: training on Keller Williams technologies, systems, & apps, social media training, and external real estate technology training (i.e. MLS, Instanet etc).


3. Evaluation, Oversight, & Implementation of all Market Center & Agent Technology Needs:

  • Implement technology systems/solutions that aid the Market Center/Leadership team in both recruiting and retaining efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for all market center technology, equipment, and software.
  • Assist our Agent’s with all technology related issues/glitches.


4. New & Transfer Agent Setup and Removal

  • The DOTI will be responsible for all behind the scenes, new & transfer- agent, technology setup when on-boarding.
  • They will also be responsible for the removal of an associate that has left KW, from all needed systems.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Fully understand the proven Keller Williams systems and how they integrate with technology.
  • Understand Market Center technology gaps, strategize/recommend solutions with the leadership team, and implement discussed solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to build our technology education and training to support our agents, based on reported tech adoption metrics.
  • Oversee and/or assist agents (new and transfer) with onboarding in all technology facets.
  • Remove any associates that decide to leave KW, from all internal systems needed.
  • Will host & oversee all technology training, leveraging multiple delivery methods (i.e., in-person workshops, one-on-one meetings, how-to videos, and articles).
  • Know, understand, communicate, and route escalation points for associate tech support as needed.
  • Respond to agent support inquiries within 1 business day.
  • Communicate tech updates on MC Calls and meetings as needed.
  • Provide solutions and answers to agent & MC questions, regarding equipment, our phone/Wi-Fi networks, KW services, as well as desktop/email support.
  • Provide backup and coverage for the Director of Communications.
  • Must be proactive within the role and take initiative with little direction.
  • Monitors & updates all editable contracts, forms, disclosures, and clauses, and uploads them to all systems needed for agent access.
  • Consistently maintain, edit, and upload our recorded training classes to our YouTube channel.

Communications/Interactions

● Weekly tech update given at leadership meetings on updated tech initiatives and tech implementation metrics.

● Quarterly tech training for ALCs.

● Facilitate MC training 1-3 times per week at minimum.

● Weekly update to associates re: tech updates via social media and/or email (or other communication medium).

● Update in our monthly office meeting on latest and greatest tech tools/trends.
