If awarded, the Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the security operations at a single airport under the assigned Airport Authority on behalf of Allied Universal Security Services. This role ensures compliance with Federal Transportation (Aviation) Security Regulations and manages a comprehensive security program to meet all contractual and regulatory requirements. The Site Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of an assigned account, including hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff. The Site Manager will build, improve, and maintain relationships with clients and employees by developing and retaining staff, coordinating needed support services, and solving problems to effectively run the account. This Manager will meet or exceed financial and operational goals, provide quality customer service, and maintain or oversee maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel. The Site Manager supervises a security staff of 150-250 officers, with the support of Assistant Site Managers, Training Coordinators, and Shift Supervisors.


Responsibilities:

  • Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for Allied Universal, ensuring effective communication with Airport Authority and other stakeholders.
  • Direct and coordinate daily security operations and activities required under the contract.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence during Airports Authority business hours and work on-site 40 hours per week.
  • Be readily available to respond to inquiries and directions from the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR), either by phone or in person.
  • Supervise and support Assistant Site Managers, Training Coordinators, and Shift Supervisors to ensure efficient security operations (assignment and availability of staff based on individual contract).
  • Ensure all security operations comply with Federal Transportation (Aviation) Security Regulations and other relevant regulations.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards of security performance.
  • Ensure comprehensive training programs are in place and that all security staff are adequately trained to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to security operations and incidents.
  • Manage payroll and scheduling for the security team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Spearhead the hiring and training process for new employees, maintaining a skilled and efficient workforce.
  • Maintain security equipment, overseeing repairs and upgrades as needed.


Qualifications (Must Have) :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in security management, preferably in aviation security.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing a large security team.
  • Experience working with federal transportation security regulations and compliance in an airport environment.
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize multiple systems and applications.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee various security-related activities and projects.
  • Proficient in using security management software and technology.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain Airport ID.
  • Ability to obtain local Guard Card/License
  • Valid driver's license.

Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Homeland Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
  1. Associate degree in business administration, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of management experience
  2. High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of management experience


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

  • Law enforcement, military and/or contract or proprietary security services experience
  • Airport Certified Employee - Security (ACE) Certification Is highly desired or ability to obtain within 6 months of assignment.
  • Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) certification is preferred.
  • In-Depth understanding of TSA Regulations and aviation security requirements.
  • Specific experience with 49 CFR 1542
  • Familiarity with alarm monitoring systems and emergency response procedures
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures, hiring processes, and security system administration
  • Experience managing security operations in an airport environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
  • Advanced degrees or additional certifications in security management or related fields.
  • Proven track record of improving security processes and outcomes
