We are seeking a highly skilled Magento 2 Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of the Magento 2 ecommerce platform for our small business customer, ensuring seamless integrations, efficient management of large product catalogs, and the development of custom extensions.


This role requires a consultative professional who can guide business users in optimizing and managing the platform.


Experience in the Azure cloud ecosystem is highly desirable.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Magento 2 ecommerce platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness for customer UX.
  • Manage integrations with various third-party systems and services.
  • Handle large product catalogs, ensuring efficient data management and retrieval.
  • Work within the Magento 2 plugin ecosystem, customizing and developing new plugins as needed.
  • Develop custom extensions to enhance platform functionality and meet specific business requirements.
  • Provide consultative support to business users, offering guidance on best practices for platform optimization and management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and code new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Magento 2 and related technologies.
  • Utilize experience with the Azure cloud ecosystem to enhance platform performance and scalability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development work.
  • Ensure the security of the ecommerce platform.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Magento 2 Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant web technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Magento 2 architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with managing integrations and large product catalogs within the Magento 2 environment.
  • Familiarity with the Magento 2 plugin ecosystem and experience in developing custom plugins.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent consultative skills, with the ability to guide business users on platform optimization and management.
  • Experience with the Azure cloud ecosystem, including deployment, scaling, and performance optimization.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with peers, business partners, and management.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL).
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of unit testing and debugging.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum).
  • Preferred formal education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Magento Certified Developer) are a plus.

  • Fully Remote
  • Duration of Project: ASAP - 6/30/2024
  • Majority of work could be performed outside of business hours but would expect check-ins with team during working hours 2-3 times per week.
  • Immediate engagement total of 80 hours, can be 40 hr week, 20 hr week.
