Events Coordinator

  • Help with annual Events Strategic Plan
  • Assist with the coordination and execution for Governor‐led international business attraction missions.
  • Assist in coordination of the organization’s participation in domestic and international trade show
  • exhibitions, conferences, and other events.
  • Help plan and execute site selector events, including familiarization tours and networking events to promote the state.
  • Coordinate joint events with county and municipal partners and other regional stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing an events series for the board of directors and supporters, that include policy symposia and networking events.
  • Assist with clear, concise communication with government agencies, vendors, sponsors, collaborators, and delegation participants.
  • Assign event deliverables by department and help manage on‐time submittal to support event preparation timeline; understand and help manage event budgets.
  • Handle administrative aspects of each event, such as event timeline, briefing documents, expense tracking, and invoice coordination.
  • Develop and coordinate post‐event evaluation process.


Skills:

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

Ability to exhibit sound decision‐making judgment.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.

Ability to develop and implement budgets.

Experience with project management, inclusive of international travel and event planning.

Experience in vendor management is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred. Project Management software experience (Asana or Monday.com) a plus.
