An early childhood center in New York City is actively seeking a dedicated and diligent Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their growing staff. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work three days per week from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will:

  • Help students access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities
  • Evaluate and treat students with disabilities
  • Maintain daily progress and attendance records
  • Write progress reports
  • Attend IEP meeting
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, or assistive technology
  • Provide the best possible quality care to all students

Qualifications

  • Active New York State Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • New York State TSSLD
  • Pediatric and school experience
  • Experience working with developmental delays and emotionally disturbed children
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized
