As Director, Business Development, your primary responsibility will be to acquire new customers. You’ll control the full sales process, from prospecting and qualifying leads to deal close and customer relationship management. The ideal candidate brings a background in logistics with a passion for selling, a proven track record of building strong pipelines, closing new business, and exceeding both sales and customer expectations. This position will report directly to the CEO and will be a critical component in the growth of the organization. Extensive travel (50%+ ) will be required to meet with prospects/customers and attend industry events.


Key Responsibilities

·        Proactively identifies and pursues new business that aligns with the Company’s Ideal Customer Profile (“ICP”) through targeted prospecting and lead generation activities, networking, and referrals.

·        Builds and maintains a healthy pipeline throughout the sales cycle, contributing to prospect development, lead generation, lead qualification, analysis, pricing, contract signing, onboarding, and customer service follow-up.

·        Leverages technology, including CRM, to improve the lead through close process, expand sales opportunities, and report on pipeline activity.

·        Prepares and presents proposals to customers up to the C-Suite level that will grow the business. Negotiates contract terms, structure, and customer acceptance of proposals.

·        Collaborates with key leaders to coordinate new account onboarding, which includes a thorough review of operating profile and validation of account-specific service requirements.

·        Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and solution development.

·        Conducts market research to uncover new opportunities and address potential clients’ unmet needs.

Skills and Qualifications

·        8+ years of sales experience & solution design in the 3PL space

·        Exhibits a diligent “hunting” mentality approach to sales, with demonstrated success in developing prospect lists, creating a sales pipeline, and closing new business.

·        Analytical and detail-oriented, with a track record of designing successful logistics solutions that solve customers’ problems and exceed expectations.

·        Commitment to executional excellence with the ability to meet and exceed sales goals.

·        Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

·        Ability to embrace the opportunity of a growth-oriented culture.

·        A Bachelor’s degree is required.
