SALARY: $32-$35 per hour

SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

THE ROLE

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for administrating and supporting employee benefits programs. This role involves coordinating benefits enrollment, addressing employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Benefits Specialist will work closely with the Benefits Manager to enhance benefits offerings and improve employee communication


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits, including health, retirement, and wellness programs.

• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, providing accurate information and resolving issues effectively.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, including documentation and reporting.

• Create and distribute materials to educate employees about benefits options and updates, facilitating understanding and engagement.

• Liaise with benefits vendors to facilitate enrollment processes, manage service issues, and ensure service quality.

• Maintain accurate records and databases related to benefits programs, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity

• Assist in preparing reports on benefits utilization and costs to inform strategic decision-making.

• Support the Benefits Manager in assessing current benefits offerings and suggesting improvements based on employee feedback and market trends.


SKILLS AND MUST-HAVES

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or human resources, with a focus on employee benefits preferred.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, CEBS) are a plus.
